What is Beer Under Glass?
Beer Under Glass (#BUG) is the annual fundraising event to kick off ICBW. Hosted on May 10th from 6:30 - 9:30 PM at the Garfield Park Conservatory (300 N. Central Park Ave., Chicago IL 60624), BUG invites guests to sample brews from more than 100 craft breweries after-hours in one of the world’s largest and most stunning plant conservatories. Proceeds support the Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance and Illinois Craft Brewers Guild. Tickets are sold out!


How much are tickets?
Tickets begin at $60 for general admission, which includes entry at 6:30 p.m. VIP tickets are $80 and include early entry at 5:30 p.m. All ticketholders will enjoy samples from more than 100 craft breweries and food for purchase (cash + credit) from some of Chicago’s favorite food trucks and vendors.

Are tickets to BUG transferrable?
Yes, all ticketholders with a valid ID will be admitted to BUG. The name on the ticket does not need to match the name on the ID. All ticketholders must be 21 years of age or older.


Are BUG tickets refundable?
All ticket sales are final, and the event is rain or shine. If you are unable to make the event, we encourage you to share your ticket with someone who is 21 years of age or older.

Will there be food at BUG?
Yes, BUG will feature some of Chicago’s favorite food trucks and vendors stationed throughout the Conservatory. All food will be available for purchase (cash + credit).


What food vendors will be on-site at BUG?
BUG will feature food for purchase throughout the conservatory prepared by the following breweries, restaurants, and food trucks: 5411 Empanadas, Smylie Bros, Haymarket, Dinky Delights Donuts, Chicago Lunchbox, Hannah’s Bretzel, Seoul Taco, Tamale Spaceship, Honey Butter Fried Chicken


Is Beer Under Glass a fundraiser?
Yes, Beer Under Glass is a festival with a purpose. Proceeds support Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance’s mission to change lives through the power of nature and connect people to plants, and the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild's mission to support the development and expansion of the craft beer industry in Illinois through education, legislation, and promotion.


Are bags/purses allowed?
Yes, but we kindly request that no large bags be brought into the venue.


Can I bring outside food to Beer Under Glass?
No outside food or beverages (including alcohol) are allowed at Beer Under Glass.


How many samples do I get?
All ticketholders will receive 20 five-ounce samples during the event.


What time is last call?
Last call is 9:15 p.m.


Can I purchase a non-drinking ticket?
Due to space limitations, no designated driver tickets are available.


How do I get to Garfield Park Conservatory?
Street parking is limited, so guests are encouraged to use public transportation. For detailed transportation information, please visit https://garfieldconservatory.org/visit/


Can I bring my child(ren) to Beer Under Glass?
All guests must be 21 years of age or older to enter the event. No exceptions.


How can I find my favorite breweries at Beer Under Glass?
Each guest will receive a brewery map upon arrival, and the brewery map will be available at illinoisbeer.org and on the ICBG mobile app.
