Please join us Friday, May 8 to kick off Illinois Craft Beer Week at the 15th annual Beer Under Glass.
This year, we’re leveling up our cornerstone festival and fundraiser with the largest gathering of Illinois breweries for an evening on the rooftop at the acclaimed Millennium Park Harris Theater Rooftop Terrace in the heart of Downtown Chicago. This outdoor affair expertly pairs the sights and sounds of Chicago with the notes and flavors that are unique to Illinois-brewed craft beer. Enjoy 200 local beers while supporting the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild’s mission of education, promotion, and advocacy. General admission and VIP tickets to BUG are available March 27. |

What is Beer Under Glass?
Beer Under Glass marks the official kick-off to Illinois Craft Beer Week. Hosted under the towering glass of Chicago’s iconic skyline, on the rooftop at the acclaimed Millennium Park Harris Theater Rooftop Terrace, this signature festival and fundraiser invites guests on a guided tour of Illinois craft beer from more than 80 breweries in the heart of downtown. All proceeds from Beer Under Glass support the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild, the nonprofit trade association that supports and defends the Illinois craft beer industry.
When is Beer Under Glass?
Beer Under Glass marks the official kickoff to Illinois Craft Beer Week on Friday May 8, 2025. The tasting session feature pours from approximately 80 Illinois breweries from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. (VIP early entry at 4:30 p.m.).
Where is Beer Under Glass?
Beer Under Glass is back outside this year, hosted in downtown Chicago at the Millennium Park Harris Theater Rooftop Terrace. With nearby parking and, better yet, easy access by Metra, CTA, or taxi/ride-share, we’re making it easy to celebrate with friends from near and far!
Is Beer Under Glass a fundraiser?
Yes! Beer Under Glass is a festival with a purpose, with all proceeds benefitting the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild's mission to support the development and expansion of the craft beer industry in Illinois through education, legislation, and promotion.

How much are tickets to Beer Under Glass?
General admission tickets are $55. VIP tickets, which include one-hour early entry, are $65. Current ImBIBE members will receive a complimentary upgrade to VIP early entry with their general admission ticket purchase.
If I’m an ImBIBE member, how can I get my VIP ticket upgrade?
All current ImBIBE members will receive an email with a special link to purchase Beer Under Glass tickets with a complimentary VIP upgrade. ImBIBE members may not share the code with non-members. Non-members who attempt to purchase ImBIBE tickets will receive a refund and will only be granted entry with a general admission or full-price VIP ticket. The Illinois Craft Brewers Guild is accepting new ImBIBE members. Anyone who joins ImBIBE will receive information about a VIP upgrade within 48 hours.
How do I join ImBIBE?
ImBIBE – I’m a Big Illinois Beer Enthusiast – is the only statewide membership program that rewards craft beer fans for doing what they do best: supporting Illinois craft breweries. Membership benefits include access to FoBAB pre-sale tickets, a VIP ticket upgrade for Beer Under Glass, discounted tickets to Chicago Friday Night Flights, and more. For a full list of membership benefits and to join ImBIBE, please visit www.illinoisbeer.org/imbibe. New members will receive information about a VIP ticket upgrade for Beer Under Glass within 48 hours of sign-up.
Can I purchase a designated driver (DD) ticket?
No, all tickets to Beer Under Glass include samples from participating breweries. As an alternative, attendees are encouraged to use public transportation or ride share services to travel to and from the event.
Are tickets to Beer Under Glass transferrable?
General admission tickets to Beer Under Glass are transferable to individuals 21 years of age and older with a valid ID. The name on the general admission ticket does not need to match the name on the ID. ImBIBE tickets are not transferable; all ImBIBE ticketholders will be required to show a valid ID that matches the name on their ticket. All ticketholders must be 21 years of age or older.
Are Beer Under Glass tickets refundable?
All ticket sales are final. If you are unable to make the event but have purchased a ticket, we encourage you to share your ticket with someone who is 21 years of age or older.
How do I get to The Millennium Park Harris Theater Rooftop Terrace?
The Harris Theater lobby entrance is located at 205 East Randolph on upper Randolph Street (street level). The venue is easily accessible by Metra (Millennium Station), the El (Washington/Wabash or State/Lake), CTA buses (multiple stops along Michigan and Randolph), and rideshare or taxi. Parking is available for purchase at Millennium Park Garage, located at 6 S Columbus Drive. From the garage, utilize the elevators to the street level (Level 7), exit, and take a left on Randolph Street to enter through the street level doors at 205 E. Randolph.

How many people will attend Beer Under Glass?
Beer Under Glass will feature more than 80- breweries and roughly 200 craft beer selections. There is limited space in the new venue, so snag your tickets to secure you spot under the stars.
Will there be food at Beer Under Glass?
Concession-style refreshments will be available to purchase on-site.
Will merchandise be available at Beer Under Glass?
Yes! An assortment of “Drink Illinois” gear will be available for purchase, including our 5th annual ICBW Pint Glass, a limited edition 16-ounce commemorative glass designed especially for Illinois craft beer fans. Proceeds from the sale of ICBW Pint Glass benefit Illinois breweries and the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild.
Can I check my bags or coat on-site?
No, there will be no on-site coat or bag check at Beer Under Glass, so please pack lightly.
Can I bring a backpack or other personal item to Beer Under Glass?
In an effort to create a spacious and inviting environment, large backpacks, briefcases, and other large bags are not allowed. Small bags are recommended.
Can I bring my own food and beverages to Beer Under Glass?
No outside food or beverages are allowed at Harris Theater. Outside alcohol is NOT permitted at Beer Under Glass.
