Kicks Off Under 200 Feet of Glass
Please join us Friday, May 3 to kick off Illinois Craft Beer Week at the 14th annual Beer Under Glass, hosted where the State of Illinois meets the City of Chicago: under 200 feet of glass in Chicago Union Station’s Great Hall.
Beer Under Glass will provide attendees a guided tour of Illinois’ dynamic craft beer scene. Featuring approximately 200 pours from more than 120 breweries from Chicago to Downstate, Beer Under Glass gives craft beer fans a once-a-year opportunity to mingle with local brewers, enjoy timeless favorites, and discover new treasures. Beer Under Glass marks the official kick-off to Illinois Craft Beer Week. Hosted where the State of Illinois meets the City of Chicago – under the glass at Chicago Union Station’s Great Hall – this signature festival and fundraiser invites guests on a guided tour of Illinois craft beer from approximately 100 breweries in one of the state’s most iconic venues. All proceeds from Beer Under Glass support the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild, the nonprofit trade association that supports and defends the Illinois craft beer industry.

How much are tickets to Beer Under Glass?
General admission tickets are $50. VIP tickets, which include one-hour early entry, are $60. Current ImBIBE members will receive a complimentary upgrade to VIP early entry with their general admission ticket purchase. Food is not included in the price of either general admission or VIP tickets.
If I’m an ImBIBE member, how can I get my VIP ticket upgrade?
All current ImBIBE members will receive an email with a special link to purchase Beer Under Glass tickets with a complimentary VIP upgrade. ImBIBE members may not share the code with non-members. Non-members who attempt to purchase ImBIBE tickets will receive a refund and will only be granted entry with a general admission or full-price VIP ticket. The Illinois Craft Brewers Guild is accepting new ImBIBE members. Anyone who joins ImBIBE will receive information about a VIP upgrade within 48 hours.
How do I join ImBIBE?
ImBIBE – I’m a Big Illinois Beer Enthusiast – is the only statewide membership program that rewards craft beer fans for doing what they do best: supporting Illinois craft breweries. Membership benefits include access to FoBAB pre-sale tickets, a VIP ticket upgrade for Beer Under Glass, discounted tickets to Chicago Friday Night Flights, and more. For a full list of membership benefits and to join ImBIBE, please visit www.illinoisbeer.org/imbibe. New members will receive information about a VIP ticket upgrade for Beer Under Glass within 48 hours of sign-up.
Can I purchase a designated driver (DD) ticket?
No, all tickets to Beer Under Glass include samples from participating breweries. As an alternative, attendees are encouraged to use public transportation or ride share services to travel to and from the event.
Can I wear an infant in an infant carrier?
Yes! Infants secured in infant carriers are permitted at Beer Under Glass. For the safety of all guests, strollers and older children will not be permitted on the festival floor.
Are tickets to Beer Under Glass transferrable?
General admission tickets to Beer Under Glass are transferable to individuals 21 years of age and older with a valid ID. The name on the general admission ticket does not need to match the name on the ID. ImBIBE tickets are not transferable; all ImBIBE ticketholders will be required to show a valid ID that matches the name on their ticket. All ticketholders must be 21 years of age or older.
Are Beer Under Glass tickets refundable?
All ticket sales are final. If you are unable to make the event but have purchased a ticket, we encourage you to share your ticket with someone who is 21 years of age or older.
How do I get to Chicago Union Station?
Chicago Union Station is one of the most accessible venues in the state of Illinois. Guests from outside of Chicago may utilize Amtrak, Metra or Pace, while local attendees can reach the venue by CTA, ride share, vehicle, or on foot. The CTA Blue Line (Clinton Street) and Buses 7, 60, 124, 125, 126, 151, 156 and 157 all serve Chicago Union Station. Parking is extremely limited, and guests are encouraged to avoid driving and/or parking.

How many people will attend Beer Under Glass?
Beer Under Glass will feature approximately 100 breweries and roughly 200 craft beer selections. We expect thousands of attendees to enjoy this guided tour of Illinois craft beer, which marks the start of Illinois Craft Beer Week and supports the Guild’s mission for the remainder of the year!
Will there be food at Beer Under Glass?
Light refreshments will be available for purchase at the venue. Please check back for updates on specific food options and price points.
Will merchandise be available at Beer Under Glass?
Yes! An assortment of “Drink Illinois” gear will be available for purchase, including our 3rd annual ICBW Pint Glass, a limited edition 16-ounce commemorative glass designed especially for Illinois craft beer fans. Proceeds from the sale of ICBW Pint Glass benefit member breweries and the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild.
Can I check my bags or coat on-site?
No, there will be no on-site coat or bag check at Beer Under Glass, so please pack light.
Can I bring a backpack or other personal item to Beer Under Glass?
In an effort to create a spacious and inviting environment, large backpacks, briefcases, and other large bags are strongly discouraged inside the festival. Small bags are recommended.
Can I bring my own food and beverages to Beer Under Glass?
No outside food or beverages are allowed at Chicago Union Station with the exception of pretzel/cheese necklaces. Guests are permitted to bring an empty water bottle to the event. Outside alcohol is NOT permitted at Beer Under Glass.
